BeMusical is a local-first iOS app. Everything you do in the app — your recordings, your notes, your instrument selections, your status tags, and your settings — is stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.
BeMusical collects no personal data. The app does not require an account, does not connect to external services, and does not transmit any information off your device.
All app data is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and may be included in your device's standard iCloud backup if you have that enabled in iOS Settings. That backup is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's own privacy policy.
Audio recordings you make in BeMusical are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to any server. You can export them to Files, AirDrop, or any other destination at any time — that is the only way your recordings leave your device, and it is always under your control.
If you enable reminders, BeMusical uses iOS local notifications to nudge you to play. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any external service or server.
This website uses privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal information. The app itself contains no analytics of any kind.
BeMusical does not integrate with any third-party services.
BeMusical does not collect any data from any users, including children under 13.
If we update this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Since we collect no data, any changes will only ever reflect additions to what we explicitly do not collect.
